The new year carried a new approach to get health care rapidly for workers at Nature Fresh Farms, Leamington, Ontario — onboard a mobile health clinic.
The 38-foot bus, parked close to Plant 1 greenhouse a week ago, offers services including diagnosis and treatment, counseling and referrals, as indicated by a news release.
The mobile clinic alternates between the organization’s Plant 1 and Plant 2 facilities every Thursday giving nearby on-site health care services from a nurse practitioner.
“The weCHC Mobile Clinic treats illness or injury but can also serve as a family doctor for our local and foreign employees seeking proactive health care,” Jeff Gagnon, Nature Fresh Farms corporate compliance director, said in the release.
The organization likewise gives representatives and families workplace wellness resources through the intentional Employee Assistance Program, offering free specialized services from experts, for example, counselors, financial consultants, health professionals, and lawyers.
“The programs we offer at Nature Fresh Farms are meant not only to attract and maintain employees but to provide them with the best possible care,” general manager John Ketler said in the release.
